According to his cousin Gustave Lieberman's Page of Testimony, Jakob was living in the Lodz ghetto when he was deported to Auschwitz, where he thought he died about 1939 at the age of 16. However, the Lodz Ghetto information states that he was a "worker" and was deported 1 Apr 1944.
